This post about Dr. Anand was written in 2022. However, at that time I was asked not to post anything about him, because that is what defense attorneys want. So I bowed to their authority, and have never written a post about Dr. Anand.  Now that his trial is over, I will be writing several posts about him and his work. So here is the first.

Neil Anand, MD

I am so embarrassed with my country, the United States of America.  We are no longer the country I grew up in and respected. And this is the icing on the cake!

In September, 2019, Neil K. Anand, MD became a victim of our government.  Neil is the American-born son of immigrants from India.  His parents, highly educated and looking for a future for themselves and their children-to-be, came to America with the aspect that this was a country of prosperity, freedom and a future. They raised their children to be respectful of the country.

Neil was in his internship year in 2001 when 9/11 occurred.  He actually went to ground zero and helped. He was such a devoted American that after 9/11 he joined the Navy and served our country as a physician, putting his own career on hold. And now our country is destroying his life as a thanks?  All Americans should be up in arms about this. Please support Dr. Anand in thanks for his service.

The Government propaganda

There is no realistic reason for the attack on Dr. Anand except for the fact that he was a hard-working minority physician. Money is our government’s goal now, and who they destroy in the process does not matter.  Minority physicians are primary targets, as you can see in the record of those attacked on Doctorsofcourage.

Everything the media has posted as “cause” for the attack on Dr. Anand was purely created by the Department of Justice. Our government can lie, create false charges, and convict the innocent with complete freedom because of their immunity. Actual immunity was designed back in the day when America was based on virtue and morality. That has gone by the wayside. Now it is “anything goes” to get a conviction.  So I hope, as a result of all of these attacks on innocent physicians, we will take actual immunity away from government agents who break the law convicting innocent citizens.

The Truth about Neil Anand, MD

Dr. Anand was charged with the illegal distribution of opioids and healthcare fraud along with 3 others who worked for him. But the allegations are totally false.

First, he was charged with fraud for providing non-opioid prescription drugs to patients.  These included anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxants, and sedatives—all drugs accepted in combination to help with getting to the cause of pain.  Dr. Anand thought he was doing what the government recommended, providing non-controlled prescriptions to his patients. The media castigated him for providing those drugs to each patient that was covered by their insurance.  Well, that’s what all physicians do.  If we prescribe something that isn’t covered by a patient’s insurance and they come back, we change the prescription.  After all, isn’t that what insurance is for—to cover a patient’s prescriptions?  Why would they consider it fraud to prescribe those instead of drugs not covered by their policy?  Sounds like the insurance company—and in Dr. Anand’s case it was Anthem Blue Cross in cahoots with the government—wants your money but doesn’t want to give you what you need.  To me, THAT is fraud!

Then, the coup de grâce is that Dr. Anand was charged with providing signed prescription pads to two foreign doctors unlicensed in the US, insinuating that these doctors then issued the prescriptions without Dr. Anand’s presence, to patients at some of his clinics. But that is pure government propaganda.  Dr. Anand had three clinics because his specialty, anesthesia and pain management, would not sufficiently fill the schedule at only one location. But the doctors all rotated to the different clinics together. Drs. Asif Kundi and Atif Mahmood Malik were always with Dr. Anand at the respective clinic.  They worked as medical assistants, not as independent physicians.  Dr. Anand investigated this arrangement with a lawyer. It was completely legal and followed Pennsylvania law.

So what is Dr. Anand guilty of?  Basically, being a productive, prosperous physician in America—the goal of his parents when they came to this country thinking that America was the country of prosperity. But no longer for physicians.  If you even think of making money in this profession, know that you will become a target of the Department of Justice.  Their salaries, promotions, and existence depends on attacking you.

Now this attack on Dr. Anand was in 2019. It is now 2025. His trial had been continuously postponed. He has not been able to work, and has spent all of his savings.  His lawyer, previously paid 6 figures, left him in the lurch unless he came up with even more money, so Dr. Anand was forced to have a public defender.  Although my opinion of public defenders is bad, his lawyer supposedly did a good job of showing the charges were fake at the trial. But that didn’t stop the jury from convicting him.  More on that in the next post.

Dr. Anand needs your support.

Dr. Anand has done a lot of work for the medical community and pain patients. He uncovered the Narx Score that works against pain patients.  He has exposed the collusion between private insurance and the government. He connected us with Dr. Zena Crenshaw-Logal and AUI. He was a true patriot after 9-11, joining the Navy to help our military at a time of attack on our country. There is so much Dr. Anand has done to end the attacks on physicians, it would take an entire website to go over it.

What can you do?  What I’ve been telling people for 8 years now, and no one wants to listen or do what is necessary.  It’s all right here on Doctorsofcourage.  Stop following the rabbit chasers—those spouting CDC guidelines crap, or just griping.  We have to get all doctors freed, exonerated, and compensated by those who attacked us illegally. We have to remove immunity from those who break the law to convict innocent people. We have to get the CSA repealed.  I have all the knowledge available to get that done.  People just have to learn and share. Can you do that?
