Nothing has changed with the Ruan/Kahn decision. And no one is interested in what will get the CSA repealed.  So the misery will not only continue, but get worse.

Wallace Steven Anderson, DO, 68, of Douglas, Ga., was sentenced to 5 years in prison after pleading guilty to Conspiracy to Unlawfully Distribute and Dispense Schedule IV Controlled Substances. Those Schedule !V substances were benzodiazepines—Alprazolam (Xanax), temazepam (Restoril) and clonazepam (Klonopin). And they were prescribed to patients. But that doesn’t matter to the DOJ or the Judicial Branch. They are after his money. As part of his plea agreement, Dr. Anderson forfeited more than $200,000 in cash and three vehicles, and agreed to pay a total of $46,378.61 in restitution. U.S. District Court Judge R. Stan Baker also fined Anderson $35,000.

The government uses the standard lies and propaganda in their press release with lawbreaker US Attorney David H. Estes saying:

“Dr. Anderson illegally doled out significant amounts of addictive drugs, including opioids, fueling our communities’ addiction crisis while lining his pockets,” calling Dr. Anderson a “white-coated dope-dealer.”

So what was Dr. Anderson guilty of?  According to the press release, he prepared the prescriptions for his patients before their actual physical exam. There is nothing illegal about that. Instead, it is simply running an efficient office. Since chronic pain patients and those being treated for addiction have to go to the doctor monthly for their scripts, once they are stabilized, they simply need the same prescriptions repeated. The drugs involved in the indictment are standardly maintained once initiated and stabilized. But the government will use anything they can to attack a doctor that they have targeted.

Dr. Anderson was indicted in September, 2021.  He pleaded guilty on July 5, 2022, one week after Ruan/Kahn was announced June 27. Why did he plea when the charges should have been dismissed? This is wrong, and will someday be balanced by God with the real guilty parties spending eternity in hell. Besides Judge Baker and David Estes, that includes HHS-OIG agent Tamala Miles, Assistant U.S. Attorneys Matthew Josephson and Bradford Patrick. and Sheriff Preston Bohannon.

The case was investigated under the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) operation. The DOJ press release explained OCDETF this way:

OCDETF identifies, disrupts, and dismantles the highest-level criminal organizations that threaten the United States using a prosecutor-led, intelligence-driven, multi-agency approach.

What that means is that the government, using multiple agencies led by the DOJ, using algarithms like Narx Scores. PDMP data, and insurance data to attack any medical professional they target.

Two other practitioners at the clinics, Bridgett Stephanie Taylor, 55, of Broxton, Ga., a Nurse Practitioner, and Wandle Keith Butler, 57, of Douglas, a Physician Assistant, had pleaded guilty earlier to Conspiracy to Unlawfully Distribute and Dispense Schedule IV Controlled Substances and were sentenced in August 2022. Judge Baker sentenced Ms. Taylor to 48 months’ probation and fined her $20,000, while Mr. Butler was sentenced to 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release, and ordered to pay $2,296.29 in restitution.
