On July 13, 2017, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price announced illegal government attacks on 412 people across 41 federal districts. They were charged for insurance fraud by the government in order to reclaim more than $1.3 billion of moneys paid to legitimate business owners. This is how the government will make up the difference in appropriations cuts–”by attacking innocent citizens with illegal charges.

More than 120 defendants, or one-quarter of the cases, involved doctors, nurses and other licensed medical professionals.

“The charges target businesses billing Medicare, Medicaid, and TRICARE (covers armed forces) for medically unnecessary prescription drugs and compounded medications” the statement says. “The charges also involve individuals contributing to the opioid epidemic, with a particular focus on medical professionals involved in the unlawful distribution of opioids and other prescription narcotics, a particular focus” for the departments.

The government is using the usual illegal charges against the investigated licensed healthcare professionals such as false and fraudulent billing; distributing and prescribing controlled substances without legitimate medical purpose; and money laundering schemes. In addition, HHS says it has initiated suspension actions against 295 providers, including doctors, nurses and pharmacists. I wonder how many tens of thousands of patients that action will pitch to the streets for self-treatment where many of them will suffer unintentional overdoses due to the fentanyl-laced counterfeit pills. But the government will laugh all the way to the bank. Shame on you, Mr. Sessions. I had hoped when you got appointed that you would see things as they really are, not step into the mire yourself. And Dr. Price is a Benedict Arnold to the profession.

Authorities call this a record enforcement. First there was Operation Pilluted. So now the states are competing for who can charge the most innocent citizens with crimes that don’t exist. Each year, federal takedowns of healthcare fraud appear to grow. In June 2016, federal authorities charged 301 individuals. In 2015, it was 243.

Of note is the plan in Congress to cut Medicare. So the government is actively trying to reclaim moneys paid out to businesses to cover their decreased appropriations. To do that, they will do what the DOJ now does best–create crime where there is no crime.  We, the people, are complete victims of a lawless government. Now it is the medical profession. When it suits them, they will turn on you. They are already cutting costs through the legal genocide being accomplished through their attacks on chronic pain, allowing medically assisted suicide, and other cost-saving techniques. At the same time, the “chosen ones” are reaping in the profits of this evil.

Indiana Attorney General Curtis Hill hit the nail on the head when he said “The culmination of these investigations is extremely rewarding for the investigators and lawyers in our Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.”

Healthcare Fraud Takedown Week was an initiative led by the Office of Inspector General of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. Other participating federal agencies included the FBI, DEA, and IRS. Thirty State Medicaid Fraud Control Units were involved. Supposedly this investigation has taken 5 years. Imagine all the people whose job security is the continuance of these fabricated attacks on medical professionals. Not only do they win from the proceeds of the attack, but people are hired simply for the purpose of finding easy targets. President Trump’s first budget included a request for an additional $70 million for health care fraud and abuse control programs. I was the target of one of the US Attorneys hired specifically for such a purpose.

Health and Human Service Secretary Tom Price said “Health care fraud steals billions of taxpayer dollars from American seniors and the medically needy.”

Give me a break. The government doesn’t care about seniors or the needy. They are “expendables”. Government action is actually designed to see these populations commit suicide or die from accidental overdose.
