Wednesday, May 8, the DEA Administrator Anne Milgram went before Congress, trying to explain away the deficiencies in the War on Drugs.  In her statement they admit that

“Getting illegal drugs in the United States is as easy as calling Uber Eats.”

The DEA also added more statistics against the war on drugs, stating that

  • More than 321,000 children in the U.S. lost a parent to a drug overdose between 2011 and 2021. That’s nearly double the rate from the previous decade.
  • There are 22 teenager deaths in the U.S. every week.

Ms. Milgram blames social media and other technology for making it easier than ever to purchase drugs.

So what is their solution?  You probably guessed it—

MORE MONEY!!

Three men with money falling around them

That’s right!  The agency is asking Congress for more funding to better track drugs entering the country.

How is that going to change things?  It won’t. It is purely a waste of money. As they crack down on one illicit drug, another is formed.

Why hasn’t Congress listened to us?  We have communicated regularly with the health staffers over the last 7 years, and they ignore us. What do we need to do to get them to understand?

First, it is my belief that the splintering of all of the organizations advocating for pain patients is our major problem.  If they had all stayed together and worked as one, we would have a solution. If those advocates would just learn the REAL Cause of drug abuse that I teach, we would have a platform to share. But instead, they create a new organization and chase rabbits instead.

We must get the Controlled Substance Act (CSA) repealed.  No drug causes addiction. The rate of addiction is now doubling every 6 years. By 2025 it will be doubling every 4 years.  And the government will continue to blame the drugs, eventually ending the presence of opioids in the US by 2030.

We can get the CSA repealed.  It just takes people getting on board the correct train, learn what it will take, and then teaching others.
