On Friday, June 14, 2019, after an eight-day trial, Dr. Krishan Kumar Aggarwal, 74 y/o internist and Dr. Cherian John, 66 y/o internist/cardiologist, were found not guilty of drug charges for their contractual work at an addiction treatment facility in Weirton, West Virginia. For the first time in a long time, jurors are beginning to wake up and see what is really happening in this country. This was a win for our recommended lawyer, Ronald Chapman II as well as the local lawyer, Michael Nogay. Congratulations, West Virginia! Hopefully you will lead the charge against the illegal attacks on good, compassionate doctors.

The addiction treatment clinic that was targeted in this attack was Redirections Treatment Advocates, LLC, owned by Jennifer Hess. Doctors Aggarwal and John were two of five doctors—four of which were Indian-American—charged with a crime. The others were:

• Madhu Aggarwal, 69, in Bridgeville, PA (wife of Krishan Aggarwal)
• Parth Bharill, 70, in Morgantown, WV
• Michael Bummer, 39, in Washington, PA

Madhu Aggarwal pleaded guilty in Jul, 2018. Even though her sentencing was supposed to happen in November, 2018, it is now scheduled for next month, along with 2 others in Pennsylvania who took pleas. Since part of a plea deal is usually to testify against the other victims and these doctors were acquitted, Madhu can probably look at the longest sentence she is entitled to. The government doesn’t like someone who fails at their job. Dr. Bummer, Jennifer Hess, the owner, and Christopher Handa, the director of operations, also took pleas. Maybe they will now reverse their decision. Dr. Bharill’s trial is scheduled in Clarksburg, West Virginia for next month.

The attacks on these physicians was a result of former Attorney General Jeff Sessions’ Opioid Fraud and Abuse Detection Unit, a Department of Justice initiative that “uses data analysis and other tools to track doctors who over-prescribe” and “to target and prosecute individuals that commit opioid-related health care fraud.” In layman’s terms, that is an admission that they are using state PDMPs (prescription drug monitoring programs) to identify and target doctors who prescribe controlled substances, not that the doctors are actually doing anything illegal.

U.S. Attorneys Robert Cessar and Scott Brady fueled the propaganda by putting in an earlier press release that “the administration’s efforts are geared towards finding the ‘outliers’ among doctors and other healthcare professionals who are fueling addiction for their own benefit.”

The government’s entire case was based on propaganda using the fact that the clinic accepted only cash or credit cards, even though the visits were reasonably priced. Using statements in their press release like “medical professionals have chosen to violate their oaths and exploit this crisis for profit.”

The other brainwashing propaganda that was used against the doctors was that opioids cause drug addiction, even though in these cases the patients were already recognized as addicts and were being treated as such. But that doesn’t stop government propaganda like: “the DEA will continue to aggressively target the rogue practitioners that contribute to this epidemic.”

In my opinion, this clinic and these doctors were attacked primarily because the doctors were minority. Also, with the closing of the clinic, the patients would be forced to the street again to continue their addiction and in the government’s view, hopefully overdose. In other words, discrimination and legal genocide. Congratulations, West Virginia, for recognizing this.

Addendum:

I have failed in my mission to end these attacks on doctors and pain patients. Through John Bevere’s book The Bait of Satan, I have figured out why—my lack of forgiveness to those who attacked me. As in Mark 11: 24-26:

Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.

And when you do not do the will of the Father, you are estranged from him and he will ignore you.  So we all must forgive the agents who attacked us in order for things to be made right through any of our works.

Jesus said

“Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.”

But we cannot lay down our lives for God unless we know Him well enough to trust Him. We must have the assurance that He would never do anything to harm us. He always looks out for what He knows is in our best interest. As a nation, those of us suffering from these attacks must understand that we are serving as God’s messengers of love.  We must forgive those who persecute us and love them instead, following God’s will for us. Then and only then will we see fruits from our labor.

So I hope that everyone who has suffered from what happened to the doctors can trust the Lord, forgive those who have hurt you, and help bring this country back to the God-fearing country that our forefathers founded. Then, and only then, can you be a part of the effort to stop these attacks. I look forward to that day.
