Christopher G. Bereznak, DMD, 48, of Tunkhannock, PA was indicted on 9 counts February 6, 2018, for unlawfully distributing controlled substances without a legitimate medical purpose. As a result, his license to practice dentistry was suspended. This is a violation of the 14th amendment of the constitution.
According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Dr. Bereznak unlawfully provided controlled substances to someone with whom he had “no legitimate doctor/patient relationship, without legitimate medical necessity, and outside the scope of a professional practice”. This is the standard illegal use of the Controlled Substance Act against medical professionals—the phrase in the law that was expressly written to exempt doctors from attack. And the Supreme Court has repeatedly made decisions to that effect as well—that as long as the doctor isn’t selling scripts on the street corner to addicts, he/she cannot be charged with the CSA. But the DOJ doesn’t pay attention to Supreme Court decisions—not as long as money and jobs are involved.
This attack was part of the increased DOJ targeting by AG Jeff Sessions, using Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), designed for a reduction in violent crime, but it does provide a financial incentive as any money acquired by the attack on a medical professional gets distributed to any law enforcement group that participates.
Dr. Bereznak had a legitimate doctor/patient relationship with the patient named in the indictment. He was treating her for TMJ, a painful condition of the jaw joint. He was first indicted in 2017 by the state of Pennsylvania, and now by the feds, for a few Soma pills for muscle relaxation, 1 prescription of 3 valium tablets, and 1 prescription of 10 Percocet—all legitimate conventional treatment in 2016 for a patient with TMJ.
Dr. Bereznak is innocent of any wrongdoing. He is a brave practitioner, because he has stood up to this egregious illegal use of the law by the rogue DOJ. His trial in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania started today. Chronic pain patients and medical professionals need to flood the court with support throughout his trial.

Dr. Bereznak was convicted April 2020. He was sentenced to 8 1/2 months. The crime here was that of the Justice System.

This is Audrey, for those who don’t know, Chris was in jail for 8 1/2 months, his sentence was applied to time served. He has several lawyers who are helping him with the appeal process. I wanted to give an update. He’s really struggling with PTSD as would be expected.

This is Audrey (which isn’t my real name). I called Chris’s attorney asking where he is being detained with no response. If anyone has any resources for how to help him I’d really appreciate it. He has a 15 year old daughter who needs him and I’ve been crying off and on for 2 days. They said he could face over 20 years in prison. 🙁 🙁
Consider getting John Flannery or Ron Chapman’s group (don’t know if he does appeal work) for his appeal. Also consider a 2255 for ineffective counsel. But all of this takes time and could be months or years before action could be taken. There is nothing you can really do at this point. Hopefully his lawyer is asking for him to be released until appeal. He shouldn’t be a flight risk. But judges are more interested now in keeping the prison beds filled than in justice.
Here’s a suggestion. Marry him in jail. Get the ceremony publicized across the country, on shows like The View, etc. Get articles written on why this is happening. And at least that way his daughter has a step-mom to take care of her instead of becoming a ward of the court going to a foster family. But before you marry, make sure there is a pre-nup agreement that anything you bring into the marriage cannot be considered as his, and vice versa.
I hope he takes this to the supreme court!!!
Hopefully he will be acquitted at the district level. The SC is not hearing our cases.

This is complete bullshit!! DOJ doesn’t have the balls to go to the real source and go to border where the “REAL” problem is. But that would mean all the parasites getting “payback” for allowing the cartels to operate would stop. And they don’t want their monthly checks to stop.
Just like the trial in OK is B.S.,so is this one. This is why it is getting harder to find a Dr. willing to treat us. FDA,CDC,DEA and rest of the overlapping agencies are doing nothing but serving an “agenda” and destroying Doctors,Health Care in this country!
I hope someone is able to hack Mitch McConnell hospital records from weekend. I guess Mitch had one too many scotch’s and fell over himself,breaking his collar bone..He better not be on anything stronger than a Tylenol. And I hope the pain is unforgiving.

There is no reason the country should not be over-run soon. Just for the stupidity i high places is enough, and its enormous and bad health and needless pain level is another. No one will move.
When will this stop? All these cases need to be appealed & brought in front of the Supreme Court!! Such irrational behavior by the DEA!!! So many cases have already been decided by the SC that state that what the DOJ is doing is not legal. But that doesn’t stop the DOJ because they are supposedly immune. We need to take immunity away and charge them with a crime. But that won’t be for years. Right now we have to combat the propaganda with the truth–that drugs don’t cause addiction–toxicity and lifestyle is what sets up addiction.
I am so sick of all these wonderful Doctors being picked on by the DEA or DOJ when we all know the problem is in the streets with addicts. I feel bad that addicts want to get high to escape life. We all need these Doctors to prescribe so we can live a decent life. SMH.

I am so sorry. Just wish he had used me in his defense. Hopefully you will join the fight to stop the propaganda and get him as well as all the rest of us exonerated. It is purely a factor of government propaganda winning these cases.
