In spite of the Ruan/Kahn SCOTUS decision, the CDC guidelines revision, and any other platform used by other advocates in the War on Doctors and Pain Patients, another doctor was convicted and will be going to prison. When are people going to get behind what is needed to end this—what we propose and advocate here on Doctorsofcourage?
The latest victim is Freeda Flynn, MD, 69, of St. Clairsville, OH. Dr. Flynn is a family medicine physician who was convicted Jan 11, 2023, of “illegally prescribing controlled substance pills in violation of the Controlled Substances Act”, per the DOJ in their press release. Her “crime” was prescribing opioids such as oxycodone, hydrocodone, and methadone, to her patients “outside the scope of professional practice and not for a legitimate medical purpose.” But if they were patients, the CSA phrase being used protects doctor from criminal charges, upheld by the Ruan/Khan decision, and should not be used to convict her. The problem lies in the government propaganda against opioids for the sole purpose of attacking physicians for money and jobs.
According to the DEA press release, Dr. Flynn “prescribed medication in dosages, or in combinations, that were outside the course of professional practice.” But there are no dosages that are restricted in practice. Even the new CDC guidelines state that the decision for dosing is completely that of the physician. And when DEA agents are asked on the witness stand what prescriptions are “legitimate”, they reply “Only the doctor can determine that”. So how do they get away with these charges in court? The guilty law-breaking culprits in this scenario, because they make money for their organizations and salaries, are the DEA, FBI, HHS-OIG, local law enforcement, Southern District of Ohio Court and DOJ. The targeting of Dr. Flynn was by the Appalachian Regional Prescription Opioid (ARPO) Strick Force, started in 2018. Dr. Flynn’s raid occurred in 2019. As of this press release, ARPO has been responsible for the conviction of 60 defendants. The DOJ targets independent physicians helping the expendable populations. Dr. Flynn was a second career physician, like I was. She returned to medical school after working as a nutritionist and dietitian for ten years while raising a family. She graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1991 and then did her residency at the prestigious Duke University Medical Center. But prestigious credentials don’t protect anybody. Not when there is money and jobs involved.
She was raided by the DEA on Aug 1, 2019 and forced to voluntarily surrender her license to prescribe controlled substances. The agents are really sneaky telling you that you can request to get it restored, but that never happens. No doctor should voluntarily relinquish their DEA certificate. Dr. Flynn was also certified to prescribe Suboxone to treat patients with addiction. So automatically with her relinquishing her certificate, those patients were thrown to the street. Withdrawal from Suboxone can be deadly. Oh, but that just plays into the plans of the government to eliminate the expendable populations.
So many CPPs and other advocates thought that the Ruan/Kahn decision would be the end of these attacks. I knew better. The only way to end this is to get the CSA repealed. Those people, even advocates, who have a vested interest in the continuation of these attacks will tell you that can’t be done. But it can, and it will. And we have the answer, here on DoC. But how do we get those advocates chasing the rabbits on board? IMO, they won’t as long as they get kudos and support from the CPPs. So it is up to the general population to get on board what is needed.

We already know the DEA is corrupt based on the pattern history. Every time I read a story about another doctor, it is a duplicate of what those scumbags did to my practice in Georgia. I want to put my story out there just like all these other doctors did. I am post conviction, finished prison, and I am completing the final several months of ridiculously over controlling federal probation by a group of corrupt USPO dirtbags who are constantly trying to bust me for a crime I would never commit, like illicit drug use, tax evasion, or gun possession…. They ask the same questions every month wasting tax dollars, while threatening my livelihood as a good doctor… but for them and the lies told outside my court case (PSI), I’d have my surrendered license back by now. I will not commit a crime, no matter what.

Have you tried giving your lectures to the medical board members, in each state? Maybe giving lectures at DEA and CDC or at a medical conferences? Supported by drug companies? Maybe this is the approach we need at state levels? I dont know, just a thought since our complaining and proving them wrong is not working obviously.
Maybe use reverse psychology and make them think they are inventing something to help pain patients, maybe then they would understand.
I’ve sent out offers to medical associations, drug companies, and other organizations. No response. I hadn’t thought of medical boards, but I really don’t think they would be interested. I do speak at national and international summits on pain and alternative medicine, but that is a special audience. I’m available to any group–PTA, businesses, fraternal organizations.
